The Psyche Topography and Geomorphology Investigation

Abstract Detailed mapping of topography is crucial for the understanding processes shaping surfaces planetary bodies. In particular, stereoscopic imagery makes a major contribution to topographic and especially supports geologic characterization surfaces. Image data provide basis extensive studies surface structure morphology on local, regional global scales using photogeologic information from images, stereo-derived digital terrain models co-registered spectral color images. The objective Psyche geomorphology investigation derive detailed shape (16) generate orthorectified image mosaics, which are needed study asteroids’ landforms, interior structure, that have modified over time. this paper we describe our approaches producing models, plans acquiring requested quantify expected accuracy results.
